Classes are a great way to expand your brain, have a whole lot of fun, learn a new skill, spend time with family and friends, and use your creative side.
You can choose from any of the following, and my level of experience that I can share is shown:
~ Fusing (Beginners To Advanced)
~ Stained glass (Beginners to Advanced)
~ Glass painting (Intermediate)
~ Leaded glass (Beginners to Advanced)
~ Bead making/torch work (Beginners)
This is how it works:
~ You can have up to 4 people in this 1 day class but we can add additional days that you pay for if you’d like to come back for more!
~ Classes are scheduled for 3 hours, but depending on the class, it can finish early. Early finishers can work on additional projects to enhance your skills (that I would donate to a charity) or you can pay for additional materials if you’d rather take it home.
~ You choose what you would like to learn
~ Together, we decide on the project appropriate for your group
~ For those who feel less creative, I have plenty of patterns to work from. For the more creative, we can talk about their design ideas during class (or ahead of class is even better to give you more time to work on the project during class)
~ We choose a date that works best for you
~ All classes include up to $20 in materials. If somebody is feeling fancy and wants something different, that's ok. They would just have to pay the difference. (Example, dichroic glass is very expensive and is often not included in the class fee.)
~ You should wear clothes of natural fibers, like cotton and close toed shoes. A cotton apron is fine if you want to use one. Cotton gloves are an option for some classes. I do have plenty of gloves you can borrow and a few aprons.
~ If you wear glasses, bring them or bring safety glasses (I have a limited supply of safety glasses you could borrow)
~ Food, if brought, needs to be kept out of the working studio. Drinks, if brought, need to be in containers with lids.
~ Tools are included and shared with the group. If you would like to purchase and use your own, that would be done prior to the class date. Students are given a 10% tool discount if ordered prior to class in enough time for it to arrive for you.
~ If the class is fusing/painting/torch worked glass, kiln time for one firing is included in the fee. You would have to return to pick them up once fired and cooled, or pay for shipping.
Safety:
~ In all classes we will talk about safety, tools, materials used, processes, design, and having fun no matter how it turns out!
Nonprofit Donation:
~ Like everything else in my studio, a % of your class goes to the charity I am supporting at the time. In this case, that donation would be 10% of the class fee.
Now ... let the fun begin! Bringing Hope Healing & Happiness
